What software will i use?
To design a create the final electronic rendering of my product i have chose to use photoshop, not only because i have had previous experience with the software before, but also because i am eager to learn new skills and face the challenges that get thrown my way and overcome them with ease. I strongly believe that using photoshop will affect my project in wide variety of ways.
Some being:
Some being:
- Learning a new skill
- Introduction to a new software
- A "mature" software with very hi tech capabilities
- Learning a different form of presenting my work, not only in ict but in various other lessons as well.
I had a total of three softwares i had in mind that could have possibly been chosen for this project and those were
- PhotoImpact
- Photoshop
- Paint
I eventually ruled out photoimpact and paint. The reason i ruled out paint was because it was very immature and it was a baby steps compared to the other softwares. Paint was a skill we used when we were 10 or 11, now we have to use more advanced softwares. The reason i ruled out photoimpact was simply because i had never used that software before and didnt want to waste to much time learning a completely new software. That is the reason i have chosen photoshop, because i know a bit of it but there is still a lot of room to improve and a lot skills still to learn.

My Project
My project is about redefining basketball shoes the way we know it. I want make basketball shoes cheaper, more affordable and help young talent and passionate players to buy basketball shoes. The design of my basketball shoes are different, they are different because the shoe in itself has replaceable parts, which in result would mean the entire shoe wouldn't have to be replaced, just the part which is not functional anymore. As a result my shoe will last longer, it will be open to a wider market, it will deliver the same optimum performance any other professional or athlete endorsed shoe is capable of, with the added advantage of the price being dropped noticeably. I strongly believe that this shoes and its mechanic capabilities will bring the game of basketball and its accessories to a whole new era. They will be styled in par or if not better than most basketball shoes being produced today, but we will be keeping in mind the price and will will use the best of sport wear materials we can lay our hands on.

Inquiring and Analyzing
1.
Companies use brochures, cards and magazines as
a format of advertising.
You may often find brochures outside of
your house, or apartment of different brands. Yes you will probably throw them
but you will still glance at them. This glance is what could possibly benefits
a company, if what you see interests you, you will most likely contact them or
keep the brochure for future use

·
They would like more durable things
·
Less maintenance
·
Easily replaceable
·
Inexpensive
·
Accessible
I believe realistically, I would find appropriate to do
basketball shoes, as in todays market basketball shoes are very expensive
ranging from the lowest of 600Dhs to 1500Dhs. Maybe there are passionate
players who cant afford those. So I am making a basketball shoe that will have
the capability to have replaceable parts, which would result in not having to
buy new shoes only if a certain part has been scuffed or spoiled, you would
simply be able to replace them. Also
basketball shoes can be a real headache to take off and put on, so along with
my replaceable parts, you also are able to put on and take of your shoes more
easily.
Basketball shoes in this day and age are getting way to
expensive to buy for the common man, basketball shoes are not easy to maintain
as they get scuffed , ripped or even torn in the intense game of basketball.
The problem is also that they are difficult to put on and take of quickly, all
thanks to that snug fit big brands want.
My target audience will be kids with not that much of high budgets and
people with a passion for playing ball, but can’t afford the right gear. My shoe will be easy to take off, thanks to the detachable parts, my shoe will last longer thanks to the replacement parts available last but not least my shoe will be priced very economically. I strongly stand by my product as i believe this shoe will open a new door in the ever growing world of basketball.
